That new post slasher idea sounds awesome. I love that concept of seeing the aftermath of the slaughter from the killer’s perspective. Especially if it’s a supernatural slasher.

I had noticed A Few Souls More was double the price of The Magpie Coffin upon release. Do you know if that’s to be expected for more of DHP’s future releases? Assuming that’s a new implementation due to new ownership. Either way glad you advocated for a lower price. I think people forget that while they’re making a living from publishing and writing. Things such as books , comics, art, ect, are things average Joe buys after the bills are paid.

Thanks, I'm really excited for this book, going to try to get it done so I can pitch it at StokerCon.

I"m not sure if they're raising prices for all books or not, the price was set by their new distributor. I've got a feeling they're going to be raising prices on all of their releases. I firmly disagree with the price and believe that it should be lower, $24.99 for a paperback is excessive.

Another question, how do you decide which stories you’ll pitch to a publisher and which ones you’ll self publish?

None of mine have been self-published as of yet. My collection is going to be just because it is really hard to sell a collection and half the stories have already been published elsewhere.

I would say my process is to at least try to pitch it to publishers first, then if it doesn't work and you believe in the work, self-publish.
