Hello, subscribers! Welcome back to the planet slowly circling the gravity well of doom. The black hole may be devouring, but we are still transmitting. I’m Wile E. Young, and I’m here to tell you that the stars are calling.
Earlier this week, I posted a small entry describing my love for the STAR WARS: Galaxy of Fear series. An attempt to cash in on the popularity Goosebumps popularity, I would argue that they proved themselves superior in that regard.
Written by John Whitman, There are twelve books in the series. The first six books deal with the mysterious Project Starscream (which does not, unfortunately, revolve around a robot in disguise), a series of experiments in biological weapons conducted by the Galactic Empire. The other six have more independent storylines with the main characters fleeing the Empire as fugitives. One of the series' major gimmicks is guest appearances by major characters from other Star Wars works, though most of these were invalidated by the 2014 continuity reboot.
The series functions as a wonderful primer for Sci-Fi Horror, with most ending in a tease that the nightmare was not over. The series is quite rare now, but if you have kids who want to read a good horror series, or if you just want to explore a series that still holds genuine chills… then these are for you.
Work continues on all writing fronts, including the new collection. And speaking of that, I have a nice cover reveal for all of you.
The cover was drawn by Jorge Iracheta, and I’m thrilled with his work. This will contain thirteen of my stories, and I hope to debut it at AUTHORCON alongside For A Few Souls More.
The roster of current watches and reads.

That’s it for the week. A short one all things considered, but when you’re constantly trying to navigate between collapsing stars, it doesn’t leave time to write.
Until the next rotation, brave invaders.
